CURIS - Public Health Advocacy
CURIS (“cares” in Latin) is a student organization at the University of Michigan dedicated to raising awareness about public health issues and enacting change in our own community. We partner with local organizations on a variety of projects that aim to provide people with the resources and support they need to improve their health.

OUR VALUES
Equity
Understanding the high amounts of health inequity and disparities in this world, we seek to remain focused on removing barriers to healthcare, amplifying unheard voices, and promoting equity for all community members.
Compassion
We are dedicated to empowering the local community and continually educating ourselves while striving for a compassionate understanding of individuals' unique experiences and circumstances.
Drive
By engaging in local partnerships, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where collaborative solutions and our determination lead to meaningful and lasting impacts on our local community as future leaders of public health.
Humility
Public health is built by the community, for the community. We understand that we all bring unique experiences and perspectives to the table, and we strive to be open-minded and learn from others.
